December 16 - The Oldies But Goodies Classic Cruizers will once again be hosting the Wreaths Across America Ceremony at City Point National Cemetery in Hopewell, Virginia. This rain or shine event pays tribute to our veterans by placing a beautiful wreath on as many headstones as possible. The event transforms the cemetery into a very festive scene for the holidays while remembering those that have passed. Join us by driving your antique vehicle or motorcycle as we convoy under police escort from the Crossings Shopping Center at 5220 Oaklawn Blvd, Hopewell, VA 23860 to the cemetery in Hopewell, VA. The convoy departs the Crossings at 10:30 and arrives at the cemetery at 10:45 for the ceremony. It is suggested you arrive at the Crossings by 10:00 to get lined up. If you would like to just meet us at the cemetery, the event starts promptly at 11:00 with a few remarks and then the laying of the wreaths. January 6 - 7 - Virginia Hot Rod and Custom Car Show at Hampton Roads Convention Center. The fifth annual Virginia Hot Rod & Custom Car Show is coming to the Hampton Roads Convention Center Virginia January 6th and 7th 2018. Grab your friends and family and enjoy an amazing showcase of the hot rod culture. Custom builders, manufacturers and regional and national car clubs from the car world will be there. We'll have LIVE music, a Classic American Sweetheart Pin Up Girl Contest, DJ's, Kids Zone, Free Giveaways and much more. Virginia is for car lovers. We pride ourselves on showcasing the best automobiles in the region for this show. The display is made up of the area's most premiere Classics, Customs, Hot Rods, Vintage, Restored Classics, Pro Street Cars, Modern & Vintage Race Cars, Muscle Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles. The Virginia Hot Rod & Custom Car Show is only made possible by the significant support by the car clubs and car owners of Virginia. January 27 - 19th Annual Polar Bear Run - mystery run to somewhere interesting is always on the last Saturday in January. This year we may even go out of state. Details will be posted later.

April 21st - Rain date April 22nd. Remington Car, Truck, Rat Rod, Motorcycle and Tractor Show at 105 E. Main Street, Remington, Va. 22734. Hours 9am-3pm Saturday and Rain date hours 9am-3pm Sunday. Registration is day of show, $15.00. Remington's Spring Bash Event is the same day. DJ Entertainment, Dash Plaques to the 1st 50 registrations and top 25 + 7 specialty + Best in Show trophy's awarded at 2:30pm. April 28 - 3rd Annual 65 Roses Car, Truck, Bike Show Benefiting Cystic Fibrosis. Hosted at Classic Iron, 4907 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg VA 22407. 9 am to 3 pm. $15 preregistration and $20 the day of, spectators free. Registration is from 9-12:30 the day of. Come out and enjoy all the cars we have to show off. Over 130 registered last year. Raffles, 50/50, food trucks, and games. 9 classes with 7 specialty categories. April 28 - 11th Annual Car,Truck & Motorcycle Show at Hyles Baptist Church, 7220 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832. Time: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Pre-registration $15.00, After April 21, cost is $20.00. Rain Date: May 5. Trophies & Awards-Judging on Cars,Truck & Motorcycles of all makes. Top 25 trophies for 1954 & below 1955 to 1976,1977 to present. Truck division 1980 & older 1981 to present. Two best of show awards along with Best interior, Best paint, Best Engine, Best Ford, Best Dodge, Best Chevy, Best Chrysler, Best Mopar, Best Pontiac, Best Import, Best of Street Rod, Best street stock, and all new for 2018 the addition of a orphan division. Vendor booths are available but go quick. Please register early we anticipate another sell out. May 5 - Xtreme Limits Car Club and The Scion Club of VA are hosting Unbreakable Spirits Car, Truck and Bike Show. All proceeds will go to the Special Olympics of Virginia. On Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 9am-3pm at Classic Iron at 4907 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg VA 22408. Pre-registration is $15 and day of is $20. 50/50, door prizes, goodie bags, dash plaques for the first 50, and lots of trophies. Family fun event! May 12 - Lions Club Car & Truck Show At Amelia Day Come join the fun at Amelia Day. Enjoy the music and other activities that go on all day. Wander through the crafts area. Plenty to do for the entire family. Car show registration is from 8 to 12 noon, must be registered by noon for the voting. Registration is $15 in advance or $20 the day of. June 2nd - 8th ANNUAL CRUISE ‘IN FOR CANCER Memorial Car Show sponsored by Colonial Heights High School DECA. This has become and continues to be a GREAT show with over 175 plus participants in previous years and continues to grow in size and popularity each year. Great cars, great people, great cause and a great time! Event will be held at the Colonial Heights High School Technical Center parking lot, 3451 Conduit Road, Colonial Heights VA, 23834 from 9:00 A.M to 2:30 P.M. Awards ceremony at 2:00 PM. Admission is FREE for spectators. Dash plaques to the first 100 pre-registered cars. Car registration fee: $15.00 before May 25th, $20.00 after May 25th. This is a JUDGED show. Due to the popularity and size of this show, we have changed the awards format this year. Best of Class Awards as well as Top 10 in each class will be given. Also Best of Show, Best on Two-Wheels, Best Truck, People’s Choice Award, Principal’s Award, Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Unfinished, Best Engine, Best Most Radical Engine, Best Rattiest Rat, Best Import, Best Specialty Vehicle, Longest Drive, Best Club Participation and more. There will be live music, concessions/food, 50/50 raffle, AWESOME door prizes T-shirts, and Vendor/Club spaces are available and welcome. RAIN DATE-Saturday, June 9th, 2018. Proceeds from this show will be donated to Breast Cancer Research programs in the area and to support club activities. NOTE: We were deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Ellen Shaw de Paredes in 2014 and this show continues to be dedicated to her memory as we continue to support her research for the early detection of breast cancer. June 9 – The Loyal Order of Moose, Hopewell Lodge 1472 is proud to present the 3rd Annual Hopewell Moose Lodge Car and Bike Show. This will be the third year for this show and it keeps growing. The first two shows were a huge success and we expect this year’s show to be even better than the first two. The show will be hosted by the Southern Knights Cruisers Car Club. This show is to help raise money for Fort Lee’s Holiday Helper Association. 100% of the money raised will go to support our military families to ensure "No Military Child Goes Without!" www.holidayhelperassociation.com/about-us This will be a judged show with over 30 awards being handed out. June 16 - The 14th Annual Paw-Paw Classic Car Show for Cancer, sponsored by Bruce's Super Body Shops, Richmond Ford and Extra Billy's BBQ (Midlothian area, Alverser Drive off Rte. 60 by CarMax & Ovation Theater) 3 PM to 9 PM, gates open at 2 PM. Judged event (1999 and older) 1st, 2nd, 3rd place awards in twelve classes; Specialty awards; Best in Show; 50-50 raffle with over 100 great prizes; Oldies Music 50's to 80's; This is an EVENING CAR SHOW, not a cruise-in. Dinner specials; …..all participants will receive a FREE ice cream, apple cobbler or soft drink with dinner purchase; 50-50 Raffle at 7 PM, awards at 8, and the sun will still be up! $20 registration day of show, $15 in advance till June 15th; RAIN DATE is June 23rd OR 30th depending on weather conditions. August 4 - is the date for one of the "Biggest Car Show Roundups in Virginia", presented by the Southern Knights Cruisers Car Club. This will be the 19th Annual Southern Knights Cruisers Veterans Car and Bike Show and is being held at Richard Bland College in Petersburg, VA 23805. The rain date for this show will be the October 6, 2018. The Show will start at 8:00am and end at 4:00pm. The Show will benefit the charities that help our country’s military and their veterans. The charities are the “Fisher House”, “McGuire Veterans Hospital’s Fund #1161**OEF/OIF/OND: This fund will be used to support the needs of returning Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation New Dawn patients and their family members who visit McGuire VAMC”, “Fort Lee’s Holiday Helper Association” and “Richard Bland College’s Scholarship Fund”. This open show attracts the highest quality show cars from Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. You don't want to miss this year’s show, where over 300 show cars, trucks, and bikes are expected to attend! No matter what you like, Antiques, Classics, Muscle Cars, Street Rods, Customs, Compacts, Tuners, Off Road Trucks, Custom trucks, Antique Military Trucks, Antique Fire Trucks, Antique Police Cars, Race Cars and Bikes, they will be there. All total, there will be more than 140 awards given out at this year’s show. New in 2018 will be a Car Corral/Swap Meet.
