June 9 – Third annual Wings and Wheels 4 PAWS (WW4PAWS) fundraiser to benefit four no-kill animal rescues in Fluvanna County. Rain date June 16. 9 AM to 4 PM. Sponsored by the Fluvanna County Radio Control Flying Club ( www.fcrcfc.org), the event will be held at the club flying field five miles west of Fork Union on Virginia route 6. Show off your car and help us raise money for these four nonprofit rescues that do so much for homeless dogs and cats in the county. This is a judged show with first and second place trophies in eight classes – dawn of time to 1949, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s, and 2010 until the end of time, Best in Show Award, and People’s Choice Award. In addition to car show, WW4PAWS will feature all kinds of model aviation activity, vendors, full size airplane flyover, two one-half hour shows by the amazing Dare Devil Dogs ( www.frisbeedogshow.com ) and a huge raffle with amazing prizes. The FCRCFC will provide food and drinks to participants and guests, donations will be welcome. Day of event registration $20.00, closes at 1:30 sharp, awards ceremony will be at about 2:30 PM.
